Why Choose New School

  • Complete International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum

We are the only school in Georgia officially authorized to offer the IB Diploma (DP), Middle Years (MYP) and Primary Years Programmes (PYP).

  • Bilingual and International

There are two departments in our school, Georgian and English. All our students speak English and that gives international students and teachers opportunity to learn more about the host country, local culture and people. Also Georgians are encouraged to learn more about other cultures represented at school. Through a school community where dialogue, sharing of ideas and various cultures are appreciated, we build international understanding and a tolerance for diversity.

  • Location

We are located in the green suburb of Tbilisi, Bagebi, 15 minutes drive from the city centre. Our school is situated among trees and foliage where fresh air is appreciated.

  • Prospective Students

The thought of moving to a new school can not be easy and also exciting. Most of our children will have some questions such as: What will the teachers and students be like at the new school? Will they be nice and helpful? Will I be able to make friends easily? What if the program is too difficult or too easy? Do I have to speak Georgian in this new school?

On one hand, it is great when we think about the exciting part of living in a new country and studying in a new school. Studying in our school provides a real international environment. You can also explore the beautiful and historical countryside of Georgia. Borjormi is famous for its healthy spring water and Batumi is well known for its nice beaches. If you like skiing, Gudauri and Bakuriani are the places to go. Near Tbilisi is Mtskheta which used to be the capital city of Georgia and there you can visit a historical cathedral called Svetitsikhoveli. Want to know where to spend your weekend in Tbilisi? Go to Mtatsminda! It is an amusement park where children can go on rides and play.

We want you to experience that the exciting part is more important than the frightening part. Our motto is “Promoting International Understanding through Education.” And our mission is “Building a diverse community of lifelong learners who are prepared to make a difference in an ever changing world.” This motto and mission are not just slogans that we have put on our walls. We strive to fulfill our mission in everything we do. Attending school with students and teachers coming from different countries with cultural differences, students are not only taught, but also get to practice how to enjoy and tolerate diversity. They are taught to contribute to community service and take responsibility towards the environment. We encourage our students and teachers towards a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Furthermore, language won’t be a problem for you as our lessons are taught in English in our English Department. We also offer Language B courses like Georgian, Russian, French and Spanish.

What is more, we will help you to settle in, adjust to your new school comfortably and make friends. There will be an orientation for you on the first day you get to our school. You will be introduced to your homeroom teachers, subject-specialized teachers and all of your classmates. Our school program coordinators will ensure that you know about all of our programs, including the co-curricular ones, and you will be able to participate in them and not miss a single event happening in our school.

We will be pleased to answer all your questions, so please do write or call us. We want to be sure that you have a good start at our school, right from your first day!
